I'M MAXIM SENIN
I've been a member of Los Angeles Astronomic Society since 2018.I started my astrophotography journey in 2005 with the purchase of my first telescope. Seeing deeper into the sky was a revelation - from amazing craters of the Moon, to seeing rings of Saturn or the Great Red Spot on Jupiter along with its moons, the crescent of Venus or polar ice caps on Mars for the first time, to deep sky objects like bright nebulas in our home galaxy and other galaxies outside of Milky Way.
However I soon realized limitations of the human eye in observation of the dark sky, and I also wanted to share my observations -- anything you do is better if you have someone to share it with! That's where long exposure astrophotography comes in - it helps to slowly reveal details of the night sky that human eye - even with powerful optics - can't see. This lead to major investment into serious, albeit amateur, equipment. As you can see for yourself, with today's amateur astrophotography gear - and some patience and desire to endure cold nights in the mountains - it's possible to image celestial objects with great detail.
A good astrophotographer is always learning: as I upgrade my setup and learn new processing techniques, my images are getting better and better and I'm delighted to share my journey with you.
All of the images in this store are my own work - not reproductions of NASA images in public domain.
My current setup includes Celestron EdgeHD 8" SCT (focal length ranging from 10000mm f/50 to 380mm f/1.9 using Barlow lenses for planetary imaging and Celestron 0.7 reducer or Hyperstar v4 lens for widefield photography), RedCat 51 refractor (250mm f/4.9 for ultrawide field) and dedicated cooled astronomy cameras: ZWO ASI294MM Pro and ASI294MC Pro for deep sky imaging and ASI622MC planetary camera.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
